Brie En Croute

1 sheet frozen pre-packaged puff pastry
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 cup pecans
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 (8-ounce) wheel Brie
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
Crackers, for serving

Preheat oven to 375 F.

Allow puff pastry to defrost for approximately 20 minutes.

In a saucepan, sauté pecans in butter until golden brown about 5 minutes. Add cinnamon and mix well. Unfold puff pastry and lay on flat surface. Place the brie in the center of the pastry. Place pecan mixture on top of brie and sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the pecan mixture. Gather up the edges of the pastry, pressing around the brie ad gather on the top. Gently squeeze together the excess dough and tie together with kitchen twine. Brush beaten egg over the top and sides. Place brie on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until pastry is golden brown.

Serve with crackers.
